9U WINS
NJSBL SPRING LEAGUE
The Generals 9U stormed through their inaugural season with unmatched energy, talent, and teamwork—capping it all off with a dominant 6-0 shutout win over Highlands White 9U on Sunday at Sheridan Ave to clinch the championship and complete an undefeated season.
In just their first year together, this powerhouse squad wasted no time proving they were a force to be reckoned with. They jumped on the board early in the bottom of the first inning when Ben P. knocked in a run with a clutch single, followed by a rocket triple from Noah C. that drove in two more.
The Generals’ pitching was untouchable. Isaiah G. set the tone with a lights-out performance, throwing three no-hit innings with nine strikeouts and just one walk. Dominic C. came in for relief and sealed the deal, firing three more shutout innings, striking out eight, and allowing only a single hit.
This win wasn’t just a championship—it was the exclamation point on a perfect season. The Generals 9U wrapped up their first year together undefeated, showcasing incredible chemistry, skill, and heart. With a title in hand and a flawless record behind them, the future looks incredibly bright for this young and fearless team.

Eleven players from the Generals Blue and White 12U teams volunteered for a community cleanup supporting the Keep Rockland Beautiful (KRB) organization today. The boys cleaned up garbage in Congers along Kings Highway, Lake Road, Route 303, and in the immediate vicinity of both our home fields: Sheridan Field and the VMA Field. They filled 9 large garbage bags, 8 large recycle bags, and picked up another 15 loose, large items like a car tire, two hubcaps, masonry blocks, a steel pot, and other assorted items. The group then enjoyed pizza at Sheridan to celebrate their work! Young men learning that success need not always be measured by how much you get, but sometimes by how much you give. Great job, boys! That's Generals pride in action. For more information about the excellent KRB organization, see https://keeprocklandbeautiful.org/

Coaches Dennis Covert, Keny Hall, and Harry Covert joined ten Generals 12U players at the Touching Bases post-season luncheon at North Rockland High School on Saturday. The boys volunteered to help set-up the room, receive deliveries, serve food and beverages to over 300 attendees, and clean up. Wearing Generals gear, the boys showed their commitment to community and to helping those in need of, and deserving, our support. This event culminated the 21st season of Touching Bases, an adult, fall softball league for players with special needs. Efforts such as these cannot survive without the assistance of the public, and the Generals are proud to support this amazing enterprise. This season players from not only the Generals 12U team but also the 13U (coach Pat Gorman), 14U (coach Pete Vogel), and varsity (coach Mike Amendola) teams volunteered at Touching Bases games on Saturdays assisting their players and coaches. Not only did the boys experience the joy of helping others through their participation, but learned some valuable life lessons as well. Touching Bases founder and executive director Bob Baird thanked the entire Generals organization for our contributions in fulfilling the Touching Bases goal of "touching bases, touching lives." Generals pride in action.
